Icelandair Cancellation Policy

Icelandair understands that passengers are never willing to cancel flights. But sometimes the situation is not in our hands.

For those who cancel the ticket at Icelandair due to illness, Icelandair may refund the full amount. You need to notify the airline 24 hours before the departure of the Icelandair flight. If you want to cancel your flight due to illness, you need to submit a doctor's consultation document to the airline at the ticket office. If you provide them with a health certificate, the airline may compensate you for cancellation fees. Please be sure to notify the airline at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure.
For requests made one month before the flight departure, you may receive government taxes as a refund, and the rest as cancellation fees. The award tickets you get are cheap, and Icelandair does not charge cancellation fees. To cancel an Icelandair ticket with flying club membership, you need to pay a cancellation fee of $50. You need to notify the airline at least 24 hours before the flight. If you are confused about the booking, you have 72 hours to hold the booking without paying the booking fee. Icelandair's cancellation fee depends on the time of cancellation of the ticket. Passengers who purchased non-refundable tickets will only receive tax as a refund, and the rest will be confiscated.
Refunds should always be made compared to non-refundable tickets, as there is no security of the fare amount on a non-refundable ticket for cancellation. You may receive a full discount without any additional accrues if you cancel the trip one week prior to the scheduled flight within the first 24 hours of Icelandair booking, in accordance with Icelandair cancellation policy. Refunds will be given or credited at the same flight booking process. The flight has arrived and if you cancel your ticket you will be refunded and the full amount will be forfeited as a No Show fee.
